Hi, my name is Dotty, and I am a 45-pound Pitbull Staffordshire terrier mix made of pure love! To the point that I can't pick just one love language, because I love all five! I enjoy quality time (car rides, trips to the park, and running errands), gift giving (treats and toys), acts of service (long walks), words of affirmation (being called a good girl), and my absolute favorite: physical touch (cuddles, scratches, and pets). I am looking for a family who will love me as much as I love them, and in return, I promise loyalty, cuddliness, and joy!

I am only 1 year and 4 months old, and I have spent the past four months at the LASPCA, but I am incredibly well-behaved. I was a staff favorite at the shelter, and my foster mom can tell that wherever I came from before then, I was well-loved. I have very little anxiety. I am not afraid of loud noises or thunder, I don't bark at other dogs, and I listen to sit and stay. I don't chew on shoes or tear things up when I am left alone, and I always let my mom know when I need to go outside. It has been a week since I left the shelter, and I haven't had any accidents. I still jump up when I get excited, and I pull a bit too much on walks, but hey, nobody is perfect all of the time. I am working on it!

Even though I am young, I know when it's time to be mellow and when it's okay to be high-energy. My favorite pastime is just sitting on the couch watching tv and getting butt scratches. I'm a low-maintenance dog, but I appreciate a lot of attention. I would benefit from being in a family that seeks companionship and wants to spend time with me. I get along well with kids and other dogs. I am still figuring out how to fetch, run, and play with toys, but I am hoping to find a family that is willing to teach me.

My foster mom calls me a goofy girl because I have a few quirks, but they all add to my charm! It's hard not to fall in love with me right away.
