Clemente's lifelong dream is to be a mortal combat champion, and he puts in the work to make it happen, practicing his takedowns on his little brother at least a dozen times a day. But he knows the secret to a good training regimen is getting plenty of rest, which is always best done on his person's lap, either on a couch or at a desk when his foster mom works from home. He loves to give nose nuzzles but hasn't yet figured out how to make biscuits. His purrs come free and easy; he just can't contain his joy when he gets some pets and ear scratches. Playing is his favorite activity, and he will entertain himself with balls, chasers, and teasing toys before stepping back into the fighting ring for a quick round with his brother, Luis Rey. Clemente is equal parts sweet and playful and a delight to share a home with.

You can identify Clemente by his distinct "chin strap" coloration under his head.
Clemente knows his name, although, like any self-respecting cat, he doesn't always respond. He calming accepts a nail trimming, especially when he has settled down to cuddle.

In Louisiana, our pets are a part of our culture as much as anything else. And for more than 130 years, the Louisiana SPCA has been an advocate for all our furry friends across the state. Follow our Lead and show the characters of Louisiana you care by supporting the Louisiana SPCA.
