Mint is the sweetest dog which people can tell immediately upon meeting her because her personality shines so bright! Mint is eager to please and is easily corrected, though she doesn't take much correcting because she learns fast and is naturally such a well behaved pup! She had a rough start and unfortunately was not trained or given the chance to be a real dog in her former life, but she's come out of her shell to reveal a goofy, gentle, cuddly pup and she is beginning learn the basics of dog training. Mint walks well on a gentle leader head collar, but can be dog reactive on the leash at times, so she'll need a family who will help train her with positive reinforcement to work on that habit. Her ideal family will be patient & gentle while she learns the ropes of training as people were not kind to Mint in the past, but now she is ready to feel safe and loved with her new forever family. Mint does well with cats after she is acclimated to them but hasn't been tested with dogs yet, however her foster mom thinks she'd do well with a dog that isn't super dominant/has a laid back personality. Mint loves belly rubs and cuddling up to you, as well as nice naps in her bed (or your bed if you invite her). She also loves being your shadow and will stay close to you when you are home so she doesn't miss anything. If you're looking for a sweet, gentle pup to snuggle, look no further than little Mint!
